About

In partnership with parents, public schools, churches and ministry partners, School Time Bible Ministries (STBM) provides off-campus biblical teaching for public school students. School Time Bible Ministries provides students the opportunity to embrace the Gospel, to grow in Christian maturity, and to apply biblical principles in the many choices they must face in their lives.

Vision

By God’s grace and guidance, School Time Bible Ministries will provide an opportunity for every public school student to voluntarily participate in an off-campus Bible education class during their elementary, middle and high school years.

Beliefs

We believe that the Bible, including both Old and New Testaments, is the true Word of God and is the sole rule of faith and practice. We believe in one God, the creator and sustainer of the universe and all that is therein, who is eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary. We believe that He suffered, died and was buried; that He rose bodily from the dead, atoning for the sins of mankind by His shed blood on the cross. We believe that He will return to judge the living and the dead. We believe in salvation by God’s grace through faith alone in Christ, the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit and life everlasting.

Grayson Hartgrove, Executive Director

Grayson worked in, managed and eventually owned the family floral and bridal business. A career change from the business world occurred in 1995 when God called Grayson to bring the ministry concept of School Time Bible to South Carolina. Grayson organized parents, churches and community leaders to start fifteen School Time Bible organizations statewide. He currently serves as a NAMB-MSC missionary. His passion is bringing God’s Word to public school children. Grayson’s family is his number one priority along with the love of his life, Pam, his wife of 28 years. Their children, Shawn, Tabitha and Joshua are a blessing from the Lord. They currently have three grandchildren.

Deonna Bundrick, Program Director

Deonna grew up in Irmo, SC. She graduated from Columbia Bible College (now CIU) in 1992 with majors in both Bible & Elementary Education. After teaching in both Christian & public schools, she homeschooled grades K-12. Deonna is passionate about working with & writing curriculum, especially teaching God’s Word as one story from Genesis to Revelation. She married Eric, a US Army Chaplain, in 1990, and has 3 children.

Leigh Carpenter, Assistant Program Director

Leigh was born and raised in South Carolina. She attended the College of Charleston, where she became a Christian, and received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, Leigh went into full time ministry working with college students at Georgia Southern University. After moving back to Columbia, she taught Bible to White Knoll Middle school students through School Time Bible. Teaching Bible to public school students is truly one of her greatest passions. The fact that students, who may have no exposure to the gospel, can hear the truth of God’s word during the school day is remarkable!

Leigh is excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with School Time Bible again. Leigh and Ryan were married in 2004 and they have 3 children.

She now serves with School Time Bible Ministries as the District Administrator. Krissie never ceases to praise God for providing her opportunities to build relationships and share the Gospel with public school students and their families.

Krissie considers her husband, Broadus, and their daughter, two sons, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and two grandsons her greatest blessings.
